My friend Sage (and employer) read an interesting article yesterday about our unfortunate president's new economic stimulus proposal. I wish I had the link to it but I don't so here's what I learned... Bush's plan will only benefit the top 1% of americans - that would be the reallllllly reallllly rich people - but 20% of people think that they are in the top 1% and an additional 19% believe that they will one day be in the top 1%. So I thought I'd clear this up for all you all... you are in the top 1% ONLY if your annual income is $376,000 or more. In fact, apparently the top 20% is only making over $72,000 which would thus mean that 80% of working americans are making less than $72,000... that's kinda sad.
